Frankly speaking, putting the records up on display is perhaps the only way we love to 'store' them. Of course, it'll be difficult to keep them all on a wall-mounted showcase. In such cases, keep only a handful of records on the showcase and store the others in labeled boxes.
A bathroom should have a mirror cabinet, or a small wall shelf to hold all toiletries. Most bathrooms also have cabinets beneath the sink, which serve as additional storage spaces. A spacious bathroom gives you the luxury of having a linen closet and a laundry room inside it, which are not only great space savers, but very convenient from a storage point of view.
Another interesting idea is to make the chest double up as something else. For example, you can use it as a coffee-table. There―you will save on a coffee table, and you are not wasting any space. Another idea is to place the study table near the window instead of the comfy chair you usually keep there. You get storage space, as well as you can sit on it and admire the scene out of your window. Actually, the whole point is to save up space. This is where you put in your blankets and even mattresses (if the chests are large enough, they will hold the mattresses too) and pillows.
For those who like to preserve shoe boxes, it makes a wonderful storage unit. Wrap the boxes with paper (any color would do), stack the discs in the boxes, label each box, and place it on the shelves you've chosen; these can be anywhere from your bedroom to living room.
