In order to make this idea work, you don't necessarily have to own the suitcases beforehand. Go online to find a good deal on the suitcases, and purchase as many as you think you may require. Once you have them, place all the CDs and DVDs in them, and label them properly. Find a place to put the suitcases on display, and see how it becomes a unique decorative (and storage) item in your house.
You can use the space at the back of the door using plastic bags with pockets or small wired racks. You can also install decorative hooks for hanging clothes, towels, hair clips, etc. Secondly, you can go for tall, open cabinets in the corners of the bathroom to utilize maximum space. Another tip is to use laundry baskets or storage containers built in wall, behind the door. You can attach a corkboard on the wall, place hooks on it to attach your junk jewelry and hair pins/clips to it.
These can sometimes be used as storage units, and come lined with drawers and shelves. These are a good option if you do not have a bedside table or a nightstand. You can make your own unique headboard and save on space. Attach shelves, or wooden storage cubes above the bed to store files, books, and curios.
